Mt. Biking: llandegla Wind Direction: Wind Stength: strong Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 8 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: 92mph (in (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16 ish mil (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
loverly day for a ride round llandegla.
red/black route as usual, got there for midday feeling a bit rough as
previous weekends enduro (motorbike) race in thick mud nearly killed me and
i hadn't recovered, my thighs were burning before we even started the 16 or
so miles..
trail was running really well but the headwind on the open moor section
made for a hard slog.
the first descent , it felt like my shoulders were about to explode, again
from weekends bike race, from there i just got more and more tired, ended
up pushing some of the last climbs and a few times nearly bailed out on the
downhills, one guy in our group did a monster bail at speed off one of the
last jumps, all i saw of him was him going over the handlebars and his bike
flying through the air, ended up re-arranging the track as he hit some big
loose rocks at the side of the course and scattering them everywhere, and a
following rider , despite me waving and standing in the middle of the track
to slow him down nearly took me , matt (the guy in a heap) and himself out
as he didn't slow...(bellend!!! )
matt was battered and bruised and limped/rolled back to the finish.
nice bit of grub in the cafe, despite the tumbles and pushing and me aching
like i'd been hit by a truck we went round in just under two hours..
knackered now, but a good day.
Matt was battered and bruised with cut knees, so we took the pee out of him
all the way home....
It'd be rude not too.
